I’m hoping someone can help me. There’s a song I really want to learn on the mandola, but I can only find the guitar tabs for it and I don’t know how to apply guitar chords to the mandola.

i want to learn new guitar chords. i know open chords(A,D,G,etc), open minor chords(Am,Dm,Bm), open 7th chords( D7, A7, C7,etc), barre chords( A , D, etc). i want to learn more/new chords that are positioned at lower areas of the fretboard. i want to learn suspended,dissonance, and more chords. should i buy a chord chart?

those are the first chords I ever learned
Keep the same chords. For example, the first chord in the song is C. Just play a C chord on the mandola. You’ll have to look up what the fingering for C is on a mandola. The site in the source might help you with that, assuming you’re using the same tuning as the site is (apparently there are various tunings).

Look around on youtube, lots of people showing you how to play there. Also there is this site I found where you can punch in the name of the song or bang your looking for…..when you find a song there will be a option to show the chords and which fret to play them in..
